What makes Northside Home Care Services different from other care-giving organisations?
We are an independent, experienced and reliable organisation working in the North Dublin community for over 30 years with a reputation for being dependable and caring. Over the years we have built relationships and trust with our clients and their families so that the quality of care provided is always appropriate and professional. Many of our staff have been with us for a number of years and know the likes and dislikes of the clients for whom they are caring.
We are ISO9001 and Excellence through People Certified which guarantees a quality of care and service across the organisation.
What training is given to staff?
All staff have FETAC Level 5 qualifications and undertake an induction training programme on commencement of employment. Our staff are provided with our comprehensive Staff Handbook and are made aware of all the organisation’s policies and procedures regarding the care of clients.
How is a carer assigned to client?
We endeavour to match the client’s needs and background with that of our carers. Where possible we assign a carer with matching interests to a client. If a carer is absent, through illness or holidays, a member of the care-team will take care of the client’s needs, by personally introducing a replacement carer to the client. There will always be a backup service.
How do you ensure the quality of care is consistent?
We regularly review care plans for our clients and our Team Leaders conduct visits to homes to ascertain the level of satisfaction with the quality of the service being delivered. We work closely with the Primary Care Teams of the HSE in determining the needs of clients.
